Midtown Surgery Center is an Ambulatory Surgery Center located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Our new facility opened its doors to patients in early 2010 with the sole purpose of providing outstanding service from top greater New York area physicians and professionals.
Midtown Surgery Center strives to provide a calm, relaxing and private atmosphere. Family and friends will be made comfortable in our quiet waiting room or they can enjoy all that Manhattan has to offer. ASCs are health care facilities that cater to patients having a procedure that will not require any overnight stay in a hospital, but is still too intensive to be performed in the physician's office. The patients typically arrive for admission, have surgery performed in a full-service operating room with specialized staff, recover safely and quickly from anesthesia and return home within hours of their surgery.
ASCs are an alternative to a hospital based setting with many advantages including:
- Provide a cost effective and efficient environment with a highly trained and specialized staff.
- The infection rates are minimal without the additional hospital exposure.
- Surgeons have more control over the surgical environment resulting in less time spent at the facility and a quicker recovery.
